How to remove Searchqu - Removal Instructions

Searchqu is an add-on from Bandoo Media, Inc and it gets installed automatically along with iLivid. iLivid is a download manager which gives you the fastest and easiest way to download videos for free. When you install iLivid onto your pc, it offers two basic installations. First one is typical installation, which lists the add-on features such as searchqu toolbar and homepage. Second one is custom installation, which allows you to select the add-ons that you wish to install.

There’s no need to worry if you did the typical installation because this is not a virus or any other type of malicious software.  If you have Searchqu on your computer, you should have noticed its toolbar installed and additional search engine called Web Search on your browser. Also it changes your default homepage to www.searchnu.com/406 without user permission.

If you find difficulties when you try to uninstall Searchqu and restore your homepage, try following steps to remove searchque toolbar and restore your homepage.
Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > look for windows searchqu toolbar and Windows iLivid Toolbar > Uninstall
Add/Rem programs

OR
Go to C:\Program Files\Searchqu Toolbar or Windows iLivid Toolbar and run uninstall.exe  
C:\Program Files\Searchqu

Once you removed windows searchqu toolbar and Windows iLivid Toolbar reset your browser home page.

How to remove searchnu.com/406 from IE:

Open IE and go to ‘Tools ‘→ ‘Internet Options’ → Select ‘General’ tab. Click ‘Use default’ or enter your own website name, google.com or other instead of searchqu.com. Finally, click ‘OK’ to save the changes.

How to remove searchnu.com/406 from Mozilla Firefox:

Open Mozilla Firefox, go ‘Tools’ → Options’. Finally, reset the startup homepage or change it to google.com instead of Searchqu under the ‘General’ tab.

How to uninstall searchnu.com/406 from Google Chrome:

1. Click on the icon ‘Customize and control Google Chrome’, select ‘Options’.
2. Choose ‘Basic’ Options and change Google Chrome homepage to google.com or any other website and then click the ‘Manage search engines…’ button.
3. Choose ‘Google’ and make it your default search engine.
